Jean (Hartwig) Robbolino, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Jacksonville, NC, on January 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 66. Born on May 20, 1959, in Weehawken, NJ, Jean's journey through life was marked by her vibrant spirit and unwavering kindness.

Raised initially in North Bergen, Jean moved to Middletown during her high school years, where she would eventually raise a family of her own. Jean was predeceased by her father, William Hartwig, her loving husband, Dominick Sr., in 2018, and her grandson Mason. She leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication through her mother, Mary Hartwig of Jacksonville, NC, her two sons, Michael Robbolino of Middletown and Dominick Robbolino of Keyport; her four daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Chaknis (Nick) of Middletown, Angelica Robbolino (Jennifer Morey) of Belford, Kristin Voorhees (Kevin) of Jacksonville, NC, and Nicole Robbolino of Keansburg. Jean was a proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren: Nicholas, Alexander, Victoria, Natalia, Ethan, James, Thomas, Anthony, Christopher, MiaBella, and Santino. and her sister, Cindy and Rob Sprusansky of NY. Her warmth and guidance will be deeply missed by them, as well as by her extended family and numerous friends.

Jean's professional life was as compassionate as her personal one. She began her career as a veterinary technician at Red Bank Animal Hospital in 1994, showcasing her love for animals and a nurturing soul. After leaving the animal hospital, she embarked on a new path as a bus driver for Lori Bus Company. Her work ethic and friendly demeanor made her a beloved figure on her routes.

While she was living in Belford, she was an active community member, Jean was a part of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Elks Lodge 2179 in Belford. Her commitment to service and fellowship was evident in her participation and contributions to the organization. Moreover, Jean's creativity shone brightly in her artwork. An amazing artist, she loved to create portraits that captured the essence of her subjects with remarkable skill and emotion. She embraced life with a tough biker mom persona. She enjoyed riding on the back of Dominick’s motorcycle, embodying a sense of freedom and adventure that defined her character.

Jean's spiritual life was centered around her involvement with Centerview Church in NC, where she found strength and solace in her faith. Her interests also included a fascination with crystals and tarot cards, which reflected her open-mindedness and curiosity about the world. She was also known for her crochet creations, which could warm even the coldest of days. The love she had for her dogs was like no other, she cherished the companionship and happiness they brought her in life. Above all, Jean's favorite pastime was being around her family. The joy and love she shared during family gatherings, holidays, and everyday moments created an abundance of cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Jean Robbolino's life was a tapestry woven with love, service, artistry, and faith. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will remain a guiding light to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Jean's journey on earth has ended, but her story will be told for generations to come as a testament to a life beautifully lived.
