Donna Finn Obituary

Donna M. Finn, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2024, at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel. Born on March 25, 1961, in Newark, New Jersey, she was a beacon of joy and kindness throughout her 62 years of life.  Donna spent her childhood in Union Beach and later lived in Keyport before settling in Hazlet in 2020. Her life was marked by a deep commitment to her family, a passion for her work, and an unwavering enthusiasm for the simple pleasures life had to offer.

Predeceased by her father, Joseph McGinnis, and her brother, Richard Prevost, Donna's legacy is carried on through her beloved husband of 23 years, Jimmy Finn of Hazlet, and her devoted mother, Mary McGinnis of Ocean Township. Donna was a loving mother to her daughter, Michele Prusakowski of North Carolina, and a cherished grandmother to her granddaughter, Casey Gomez.

Her memory will also be treasured by her brothers, Michael and Ramona Prevost of Ocean Township, and Joseph and Kathy McGinnis of S. Amboy. Her sisters, Dawn and Carmine Annunziata of New York, and Rene and David Prevost-Garibaldi of Washington, NJ, and her sister-in-law, Marie Prevost, will miss her deeply. Donna's warmth and kindness will be fondly remembered by her nephew, Anthony (Jen) Coppola of Keyport, her cousin and best friend, Monica Doran of Lakewood, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who were all touched by her generous spirit.

Professionally, Donna was a dedicated paralegal, working alongside Allison Kosberg in Edison. Her meticulous attention to detail and compassionate nature made her an invaluable asset to the firm and a supportive colleague to her peers. Donna's professional life was characterized by her integrity, her work ethic, and her unwavering commitment to justice.

Donna's interests and hobbies were a reflection of her vibrant personality. She had an enduring love for Wildwood and took pride in her Irish heritage, which she celebrated with zeal. Music was one of her greatest joys, and she could often be found listening to the Rolling Stones, her favorite band. Donna had a flair for decorating and took particular delight in adorning her home for every holiday, creating a warm and festive atmosphere for all who visited.

Above all, Donna cherished her time with her family, particularly her granddaughter, Casey, who was the light of her life. Her ability to make every family gathering memorable with her laughter and love will be sorely missed.

As we bid farewell to Donna M. Finn, we celebrate a life lived with passion, love, and a touch of Irish magic. Her presence in our lives was a gift, and though she has departed from this world, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Donna's memory will be held in the hearts of those who knew her, and her legacy of kindness, dedication, and familial devotion will endure.
