Alicia Switzer Obituary

Alicia M. Switzer, 51, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2024. Born in South Amboy, raised and lived most of her life in Parlin, prior to moving to Spotswood. Alicia lived a life marked by kindness and a profound love for the simple joys that each day brought.

Pre-deceased by her parents, Eugene and Barbara Switzer, her brother Eugene Jr. and her loving husband, Edward Wingler in 2019. Alicia's spirit, a reflection of the love and guidance they provided, will be forever cherished by those who knew her.

Alicia's journey through life eventually led her to Spotswood where she could be found brightening the day of patrons with her delicious creations as a baker at Shoprite in Spotswood.

She found beauty and solace in the presence of her cherished dogs, Abby and Shirley, who were her constant companions and a source of immeasurable joy. Alicia's love for her dogs was matched only by her fondness for flowers and butterflies, which inspired her hobby of making exquisite paper flowers.

Alicia's memory will be treasured by her devoted sister, Andrea and her husband Tom Bialoblocki of Spotswood, who stood by her through all of life's highs and lows. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her nieces and nephews Kieran, Brittany, and Christopher. She especially had a special bond with her niece Olivia who was her most favorite.

Those who knew Alicia understood that her life was a reflection of the things she held dear - family, friends, and the simple pleasures that each day can bring. Her gentle presence was a comfort to those around her, and her ability to find joy in the everyday moments.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private.
